Jeros Domagas

Coach Jeros

Founder · Dublin HS Varsity Asst. Coach
View bio →

Coach Jeros was a standout, 3-year Varsity player at Amador Valley High School and received a scholarship to play at Aurora University.

After he finished playing basketball, he founded Top Performance Basketball in 2017. He has impacted hundreds of players in the area, developing them for high school basketball — with some advancing to the collegiate level.

Coach Jeros has coached at the high school level for 8 years. He was a varsity assistant coach for Foothill HS and helped lead the team to their first NCS playoff home win in over 15 years. He is currently in his 2nd season as an Assistant Coach for the varsity basketball team at Dublin High School — a top-ranked high school program in the state of California.

"As a coach, I strive to create an environment where every player can pursue the best version of themselves — connecting with each one and teaching accountability, hard work, and attention to detail.

Nothing is more fulfilling than watching them succeed in life. Developing their character through basketball is just the stepping stone — the real goal is the impact they have on the community."

Lynn

Program Manager · TPB (since 2017)
View bio →

Lynn has been the Program Manager at TPB since 2017 — the same year Jeros founded the program. She handles player onboarding, gym scheduling, the website, parent communication, and the dozen small things that go unnoticed when they're running well.

She's the first email parents send and the last one they receive. The reason families consistently say the program "just runs."

Coach Tyrell brings eight years of coaching experience, with the last five at Top Performance Basketball where he specializes in preparing players for high school basketball.

He was most recently the Freshman Head Coach at Foothill High School, where he led the team to a winning record. He now serves as the JV head coach at Franklin High School in Stockton.

"My coaching philosophy is to have an environment that encourages athletes to learn and develop on and off the court. I want to create a positive learning environment within the program."

Coach Marcus Lee Jr.

Coach Marcus Lee Jr.

Middle School Team Coach · TPB
View bio →

Coach Marcus brings over two years of skill development coaching experience to TPB, with a focus on guard play and game IQ — the technical and mental dimensions that separate good athletes from competitive ones.

His own playing career — Shawnee Community College, Columbia State, UT Southern, and Tennessee Tech — gave him direct experience competing at multiple collegiate levels.

"As a coach, I focus on building competitors who play with confidence, purpose, and intensity. I believe in creating a high-energy, detail-oriented environment where players are pushed beyond their comfort zones daily. I emphasize accountability, communication, and team culture, understanding that success comes from consistency and trust. My goal is to help every athlete maximize their potential while developing the mindset and habits necessary to succeed at the next level and in life."

Coach Edward

Coach Edward

Middle School Team Coach · TPB
View bio →

Coach Edward brings over five years of coaching youth basketball, with extensive knowledge in how to develop the talent of young players and take their skills to the next level.

If you've watched a coach who actually understands what an 8-year-old can absorb in 90 minutes versus what a 12-year-old can, that's Coach Edward. Patience, sequencing, and a clear progression for every athlete.

"My goals are to help our players achieve their dreams of playing at a higher level, and developing their character through the sport. Our culture is much more than the game and with patience and discipline, I know we can accomplish all the opportunities the game of basketball has to offer."

Coach Max's coaching is built on three non-negotiables: limitless energy, effort, and positive attitude. Skill follows. IQ follows. Confidence follows.

"I aim to use basketball as a platform to teach life lessons, fostering a positive impact on players that will resonate with them long into the future."

Coach Jarran

Elementary School Team Coach · TPB
View bio →

Coach Jarran's coaching career started while he was still playing — he coached AAU during his high school years at Lathrop, getting an early start on the craft of teaching the game while still competing in it himself.

"I am passionate about basketball and player development, dedicated to helping athletes grow in skill, confidence, and character. With a strong emphasis on fundamentals, teamwork, and discipline, I strive to instill values that go beyond the game of basketball. Success is built through dedication and a positive mindset — I'm committed to inspiring players to reach their full potential, on and off the court."
— Standards

How we hire,
train, and
hold the line.

Every coach in our gym has cleared the same bar. Here's what that looks like.

01

Multi-step interview

Phone screen, in-person, on-court session with kids. We hire less than we'd like to, on purpose.

02

Background check

Every coach is cleared before they ever lead a practice. No exceptions.

03

Coaching standards

Internal training on practice structure, age-appropriate progression, communication, and safety.

04

Mentored first season

New coaches don't lead independently for a full season. They learn next to the staff first.

— Why this matters

Your kid spends hours each week with a coach. We owe it to your family to make sure every one of those hours is worth it — every single time.

— Coaching FAQ

What parents
ask us.

Will my child have the same coach all season? +

In most programs, yes — your athlete is assigned a head coach for the duration of the session. They'll also see other staff in scrimmages and tournaments, which is intentional: kids learn faster when they hear the same fundamentals from multiple voices.

How do I know which coach my child will get? +

Coach assignments are by age group, gender (for our girls program), and location. After registration, our team will follow up with your specific schedule and coach. If you want a recommendation before registering, email us.

Do you have coaches for girls' teams? +

Yes — we coach girls and boys across every program. If you have a specific question about your daughter's group or the right starting program for her, email us and we'll match you up with the right coach.

What if my child doesn't connect with their coach? +

Let us know — always. We'd rather adjust than have a kid quit the sport. We work to fix it quickly — different group, different night, or a private session to rebuild confidence.

Can I observe a practice before registering? +

Yes — and we recommend it. Pay-as-You-Go workouts are the best way to see a coach in action. Or come watch a Saturday tournament. Email us for the schedule.
